Little Bunny FooFoo

My bunny was so cute the other night I couldn't help but take one million pics of her. She was watching me so sweetly and innocently.And then she was trying to break out of jail. I know she needs crest white strips for her teeth doesn't she!
I keep telling her she can't file the bars with her teeth but she won't listen. Teenagers!

This is her classic let me out of jail because I look so cute doing this pose. It gets me every time!

So, I let the top open, and her cute little head peeks through.

She knows she can trust the hand that feeds her!

And she escapes!
Happy as a little clam she runs over to mom to get my approval.
And then I give her the ball and she is the cutest little thing ever!!
I had to grab her with a towel to clip her nails and swaddle her. She didn't like it but she was so adorable.
I just love the spike on her head!
Oh, doesn't she look like a Guinea pig!! HAHA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHto the 2nd

So, you know those come to our time share thingys that you get in the mail and you throw them away cause you like whateve. Well, Bill and I actually have done 2 of them. The first we went to Vegas for his birthday, you can check that out in Oct. of 07 if you haven't already. And the second was for this lonely timeshare place here in BFE Illinois, where we got a free trip and a free cruise!!! And by free I mean hotel stay is free but we of course pay taxes and airfare! But Bill and I are on a budget but love to travel so anything "free" is a bonus for us.

So, guess what...

We are going to PUERTO RICO!!!!

So, I lived there when I was a wee one and have not been back and I am expecting you guys to tell us where we go. And I can here my mom now saying "why don't you just call me and ask me where to go" well mom pick up your flippin phone and I would call you!

Anyway, this does not exclude you Alyssa and Sean, just so you know. Better start racking your little brains as you are reading this and tell us where all the hot spots are.

Oh, oh, oh so I went to Meijer today, and for those of you who don't know what that is it is like Target, but not quite like Target. Anywho, they had totally cute sundresses, which I usually can never find clothes there I like, but I got me 2 almost 3 and they are so cute! They will be perfect to pack with the 2 sundresses I just got at Target 2 weeks ago. I think I have this sundress fetish now. All the more reason to get cute shoes to match!

And no we didn't by the time share. We just waste a couple hours of our time at these things to travel on a students dime! Or penny, whichever we have.

I heart you

I am posting a nice happy pic of the heart for those of the queesy nature! I am talking about surgery here, so if you promise not to spew anywhere where I could get blamed then read on. Maybe put down that snack first, unless you are a sick pup like me and you can eat and talk about and even watch surgery and such. Otherwise, may the force be with you!

So, Tues and Wed I called in sick to work (cough, cough!) So, Thursday (today) they weren't sure if I would be in, so I was homeless and had no assigned room. I went to the charge nurse to ask what she wanted me to do. I assumed it would be A&R (what Edward calls the person to give everyone breaks) Abuse and Rejected (what the employees of Edward call it). Anyway, She says to me, hey do you want to scrub (insert R.N. name here) out and you can finish up the organ pecurment (I am sure that is not spelled right)

What? I didn't even know we did those, we are just a suburban hospital, not a university!! But like on Grey's anatomy when some thing new comes in and all the residents run each other over and fight tooth and nail to try to be the first one picked, I yelled YEAH!

So, to my lil hearts content I walked swift as a fox (got that from Alyssa!) to OR 11, threw my gown and gloves on the table and said Hey (R.N.'s name again) I am scrubbing you out homie G! And in I came like a busy little bee ready to get me some organs. Yeehaa!

Once I was scrubbed in it took me a few minutes to realize I could not hear the anesthesia machine, I glanced that way and realized that not only was the patient not living (yes I did know this but just didn't register till that moment) but there was no anesthesia either! Oh my gosh, kind of a weird feeling.

I got there just in the nick of time. They had already taken the liver as that will be going to some lucky soul somewhere out there, but I got to see the kidneys, vena cava, aorta, lungs, vessels, pancreas, and bowel all removed, but the most exciting (for me anyway) was to see the heart taken at the almost very end. Then Erica (Dr.) handed me the heart. I have never held a real human heart before. Bowel, uterus, kidney, gallbladder, you name it I have either stuck my hands in it or held it, but never a human heart (except for the plastic model in A&P class)

Ok, people I know big whoop right, but no fo sho, You know I stuck my finger through the aorta and looked for a slight tear so I could stick my fingers inside the right atrium and all that fun stuff too. There was still some blodd left in the vessels surrounding and I pushed that around to watch where it goes. I had to check that thing out. Oh yeah, that scene in Indiana Jones (the old one) has got nothing on me baby!

So, I was super excited. Then the resident was to finish with the rest of the bowel and close, and you know what, he was a little confused (blamed in on sleep, I call it not yet experienced) but me being a nice scrub like I am kindly assisted and told him what to do. Yeah, I explained to him how to do some of the steps and I have never been to med school peeps. I was one proud scrubbin sista today!!!

And then I was thrown to the wolves and got sucky cases after that!

Oh, but you probably want to know what happened with the patient as I did right? Well, she was older (past 65 I think), taking comadin (I am sure that is misspelled too!) and fell, hit her head, was supposed to have a crani last weekend but her fam refused, and is now hopefully going through heavens doors. But because of that her liver will save the life of a patient, and the rest of her organs will go to research.

Kinda pretty awesome right.

Well, we are spring cleaning cause it is almost summer. Bill has 6 suits that he needs to get rid of. They are hardly used, the same quality that you will find at Nordstrom, between super 120's - super 130's. 5 are 100% fine wool (the kind that is recommended for interviews with top companies). Bill's a cougar- ROOOAARRR

That's right people, Bill is now a BYU cougar. We are moving to Utah!!! Hip hip hooray! Don't ask us about those details yet though, still figuring them out.

I am so proud of him though. It was the only school he applied to and he used his charm to slide right in. His co-worker didn't believe him and called the school to find out for sure...WHATEVER. He is so a Y student.

He got in early this week but we decided to wait until my mom and Bill's boss were told before we posted this.
So, give Billy a holla for having the grades and determination to get in! And to my lovely friends that we are sadly leaving here in IL, come visit, you always have a place to stay! Or we can go here! Isn't it lovely.

Why couldn't i...

So I have always felt sorry for myself (enter small violins) because I always wanted a sister. Like a real one, not a step one. I have 2 older bros which meant I was always an easy target. I do have have a sister-in-law that is as cute as a button, but she has 2 sisters and probably doesn't care for another. So, I just daydream how fun it would have been to have one, and have a bathroom as freakin cute as this one where we could do each other's make-up and create crazy hairstyles!

Oh, I am sure we would have fought as teens over clothes and boys, but it would all be worth it. And what if we shared a room (as adorable as this) staying up all night getting in trouble for giggling and not falling asleep. And what bliss to have that sea breeze blowing through our window each night.
And then when we grew up and vacaed with our hubbys together, and the boys were off to play golf we could just sit and catch up on gossip, sipping something cold in the lounger, listening to the waves crashing and breathing the sweet salty air.
But since that was only a dream I guess I will just have to get over it, and hope someday I can just get this as my view from my kitchen window!
