Congrats to my little Billy

Now why would I say congrats to Bill, Well today was his first day. First day of what you might be thinking, I think you better call him to find out. But he is a happy boy! So in honor of his hard work and dedication I cooked him a yummers to his tummers meal. It is a chicken and rice recipe that I got from a sweet lady in IL and boy, oh boy, did Bill go nuts when he got his first bite of it. If you wan the recipe just let me know, although I changed it around a bit for less sodium and better cheese than the original.
And then I got thinking about RS. Which by the way, next to testimony meeting is my favorite class. But sometimes comments made really bug me. Now I do know that everyone means well, but this one time in particular we were having a discussion about getting back to the basics of things and cooking came up. And did those little old ladies need to say anything little about that? They started talking about how the "kids" (meaning married folk younger than 40) these days just don't cook anything from scratch anymore. Back in their day everything was cooked from scratch (I guess, I am just going by what they say). And some even say it is only preparing a meal unless it is cooked from scratch. Well, this is what I say. I bet you those ladies were part of the generation where if you got married as a woman then you no longer could keep your job. Which meant you were a stay at home WIFE until the chitlens came. So what else do you do after the house has been clean and you still have 10 hours left in your day? Good for them for being able to still cook like that after the kiddles came, and good for them if they still do it. As for me, if I open a can of this, and a jar of that, add some spices and through it with some meat that I stood over the oven for, by golly I am calling that cooking.
Sorry, I am on a rampage but I just needed to get that off my chest!

We went to Park city to celebrate Bill's birthday and another thing to celebrate for Bill. the mountains were so pretty with all the different colors. All the aspen trees were florescent yellow.

Why my husband is the best EVER!!!!

Well it is that time again. Bill is another year older. he is turning the huge 30, and according to my cousin he will have to start cutting out spicy food from his diet... which I guess means he can no longer eat. But he still looks better than ever and way hotter then when we first met. I love you babe. I hope you had a fun b-day in Park city with your loving wife! Pics to follow soon.

So like a good little blogger should (hint hint to the rest of you would read my tag, you are still tagged even if I didn't put your name down) my friend Cari did the high school tag, but she also added pics of her back then. I thought what a cute idea and since I have been sick and doing nothing but reading in bed and drugging myself up, I thought I would humor myself and I am sure you too and add my HS pics. Don't laugh too hard.

18th bday. Finally legal!
Senior trip to Huston w mi mama, stopped at Rice U and I thought I wanted to go there until I saw tuition prices, so I went to Weber State instead! No comparison what so ever. Although, if I did go to Rice I never would have meet my wonderful hubby so all things are meant to be.
One of my very best friends from 2nd grade until Junior year. She is one person that I wish I was able to keep in contact with.

My other best friend Jake. Poor guy, I had to tie his tie and look how short it is! We hung out all summer and every weekend for a couple years. And then one day I never heard from him again. I am sure he got a girlfriend that didn't like him hanging out with another girl.

Dork on the track team. All the grumpy looking girls were the good runners, I would have thought they would have more endorphins then that to put a smile on their face.
That is Zach kunkle, haha. My mom hated him and I have no idea why. It took him like a month to kiss me. He invited me to a drive in movie one time and it was a huge argument with my mom which she won and I couldn't go. But if I did I am positive our car would be one of the few that WOULD NOT have steamed up windows
I make a pretty good she devil if you ask me. It just came so natural.
That is me by the coach in the black shirt. I swim better than I walk. Quit gawking at the speedo boys behind me. I know all American girls just love em. And lucky me got to see them every day. Jealous? I know you are.
Oh, and swim team was also the first time some one refered to me as Wig-it. So my other coach (not pictured) would always try to get my attention I guess, and half way throught the season we were all sitting around and someone yelled "hey Wight" (maiden name) so Iasked them what they wanted and the coach looked at me and said your name is Wight, and I was like "duh" and thats when he told me he was wondering why I never paid attention when he would try to call me cause he thought my name was Wig-it!

High School Tag

So this is a tag that I stole from my s-i-l's site. I am taggin everyone who reads this, but I am sure the only ones who will do it is Cari and possibly Kaylynn. Hint hint

1. Did you date someone from your high school?: Yes, but they all will ramain nameless. I was at least smart enough not to get serious with anyone, thank goodness for that!
2. What kind of car did you drive?: A baby blue toyota tercel. I loved that car and thought it was just so cute. I would go race on the blvd. and I would win cause I was the best stick shift driver around! And then it would break down and I did not like it anymore.
3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school? Ha I think the 3 years I attended! I also was taking a test so the classroom was super silent, and I had to sneeze but I used to hold in my sneezes, and in doing so I let out a little fart, sooooo embarrassing for a sophmore. Needless to say, I no longer hold in my sneezes.
4. Were you a party animal? yes isn't that what HS is for?
5.Where you considered a flirt? Like yeah
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?: No way Jose
7. Were you a nerd? Still am
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Swimming I tried track, but it didn't like me trying it!
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? of course not, I always made sure I would not get caught
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I don't even remember the tune
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. Brown taught Euro History. To this day I still want to go to every country he talked about and visit all the historical stuff. And I am so not a history person, but he made such an impact. His class was the only class I would not skip until one day I went to make out with a boy who was a totally bad kisser and I felt sooo bad that I skipped the class for that!
12. Where did you sit during lunch? We left campus for lunch!
13. School Mascot? Tiger
14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?:Yes Zach Kunkle, I was so in love with him for like a month! Haha, I saw him right before we moved to Chicago. Glad I married Bill!
15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Not only no but H- E double hockey sticks no.
16. What do you remember most about graduation? I talked to one of my friends the entire time and there was an extreemly long speech that was translated into spanish and never ended, I am sure it is still going now! Oh and a girl's water broke right after her BF got his diploma!
17. Where did you go senior skip day? I didn't go to HS my senior year everyday was like a skip day for me.
18. Have you gained weight since then? I lost weight then gained, it's a never ending battle
19. Who was your prom date? I actually took one of my Bros friends one year and then one of my very bestest friends Jake Bowers and I went when I had strep thoat.
20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Never, if there is anyone I want to get in touch with I will find them on facebook!
21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Don't drop the AP classes and take as many as possible so you don't have to pay college tuition to take them.
