Hoppy Easter

We had an interesting Easter. I won't go into too much detail, but we did have our own Easter Bunny this year. Now I know not many of you can say that.

She pooped on the carpet Saturday, so she was grounded Sunday (I know what a bad mom I am to ground Bunnee on Easter) and I think she took her aggression out on me cause Bill was the only one who got an Easter basket.

We went over to our friends house for a yummy ham dinner, and we were just sitting around talking when I noticed Bill had some sparkles on his feet. Impressed as I was, I am sure Jessica is not so happy with Bill stretching out her slippers, and Alma might be assessing Bill's sexual orientation as we speak, and telling Jessica it would be a bad idea for us to come over again. But I do not think he would make a good drag, so I will protect you Alma.

Here is my cake that Alma and Bill so gladly decapitated. What else is new?

So, Jessica was bragging to me on what a great dancer lil' Alma is, so I said, "let me see", (not in direct quotes of course) so she put on some music and he kinda moved a little morethan usual. But was not too impressed. So, she decided to get him ready for bed and took off his day clothes to get into pjs, and the boy got up before the pjs came on and shook what his mama gave him. He dropped it like it was hot, got back up only to dip it low again. Career??? Just maybe, give him a bow tie and some cuffs and he just might remind you of a billboard in Las Vegas, or my scrapbook! (you would have to see my scrapbook to understand that)

but really, have you not seen a cuter bum than this?? I have not. And he doesn't even mind if the diaper makes his butt look fat, cause we all know that that is fat with a P-H, as in phat, thank you.

As you can see here, he is showing the black guy how to shake that thang. How many white boys do you know who can do that?

What a cute fam, huh. I sure am glad the hung out with us, taught us how to dance, fed us a delightful dinner, and listened to our stories. You are the best, (P.S. I don't really think lil' Alma has a career with you know who, but maybe the Thunder down Under? They do have more billboards)!

The cost of selling a house...

House: $120,000.00
Mortgage for 4 years: $40,000.00

Price to repaint the house after renter makes it dirty $2000.00

Price of a mortgage, rent, 2 electrical bills, and 2 gas bills: too freakin much

Price of the sigh of relief when it is finally closed after 4 months from the final offer: Priceless

Yep, that's right people. We thought we were so lucky to get an offer 4 days after we get our house on the market (which we were), but we never thought it would take almost 4 months to close. Hallelujah. After all the tears and stress this part is over. 1 trial down, a lot more to go, but this was differently a biggie. Thanks for those of you who prayed! Couldn't have done it with out you.

(BTW: this said "finally closed" I thought kissable would be easier to read than this, I thought wrong!)

Bill and I went to Texas road house to celebrate. Bill got steak drunk, I wish I had my camara to capture the moment, he looked so cute!

Muy bonita!

All the girls (hu humm except one, and you know who you are (Lisa)) went salsa dancing downtown. It was a blast. After we got there though we found out that if someone asks you to dance it is rude to turn them down (per club DJ). All of us girls looked at eachother, then looked at Erin's sister (sorry forgot her name, but she was the only single one) and we informed her that she would take our place if we got asked. But she didn't, so we got to dance with some interesting people.
Ok, so yes this booty is mine, but look at this guy, would I be considered jail bait with him?? I think so.
This little short, short man, danced with all of us. Jess is like twice as tall. I guess that is what happens when you put Mexico and Canada together. Carlos made our night though. One by one he dance with us all, except Alyssa skipped out of this somehow, Bum!
He had to rid rid of his beer before he could dance with me, Erin obviously enjoyed it!
Erin, I still feel bad for you on this one. I will tell your hubby that I witnessed you trying to push him away!!!
We finally got sick of the guys and had a blast doing our own thing.

If this guy didn't have his own date Erin's sister would be engaged by now.
Oh yeah! Sisterly love.

Check out the gold pants in the backgound. Mine are one back order, can't wait!!! Haha. Alyssa did you get yours yet?Hot mamasetas! Oh baby give me more!

For freakin yum!

So, Alyssa intro'd us to Trader joe's pizza dough. I made it for Bill and the missionaries and yes, oh yes, it was a hit. We had it Friday and come Monday Bill was asking for it. And he says I'm the pizza person in this casa? Oh a total as if, and yes girls, I did just say as if (think clueless)

So anyway, I made wheat bread pizza, one just plain ol' peperoni, but did it the Chicago/Italian/Coberly(they are not Italian but did it this way) style and toppings go under the cheese, Oh delish. Then I did chicken and sauasage(chicken sausage that is) pesto, on wheat again because Bill and I are wheat eaters. So we like to think we can have pizza and have it healthy (er) too. And it all cost about $4, because I just used the left over toppings from the other night. yes 2 pizzas $4, eat that dominos. =)

Ollie Ollie oxen free...

Yeah, so not quite sure why we yelled that when we were playing hide and seek, but you are now tagged. I take these very serious, so if you don't want to be a contributer, log out of this page and back away from the computer. If you do read this and you follow through and post your own then some very good things will happen in your life! So, just do it.
10 years ago: I was working 2 jobs, talking to my car that was parked in front of my bedroom window, but wasn't old enough to drive. Soooo over high school already, hanging out with my little clique and I'm sure I was involved in some kind of drama, and crushing on a big steroid head boy, that I later learned was so not worth my time!

5 things on my to-do list today: first; I do not make to-do lists cause I never complete them and if I see that I didn't complete it I feel a big rush of failure.

4 things I would do if I was a billionaire: Pay for Bill's dad's surgery, Buy a house with new cars for Bill and I, and another for my madre and another for Bill's fam, Bill and I would quit work to go to school and I would finish nursing school and do mission trips to Africa, Travel, and save the rest for when I can think of other things to do with it.
3 bad habits: I have this pile of stuff by my bed, that I have had since I was little, that shows up in every house I live in, that always comes back the same day I clean it up, I rip all my hangnails so they just keep coming back, and I procrastinate.

5 places I have lived:Iowa, California, Puerto Rico, Utah, and Illinois

5 jobs I have had:server, busser, sales in beauty supplies, hair stylist, and surgical tech.

Things people don't know about me: I am a dork, a girly girl but a tough cookie at the same time. I am pretty open and blunt, so I guess if you don't know things about me, you will if you know me long enough! Ha, how do you like them apples.

Mona Lisa's Smile

Have you ever seen this movie? Pretty good. I am not a feminist by any means, but I am not the traditional old fashioned housewife thus far. Although someday when Bill becomes rich and I can afford to stay in our white picket fenced home with our two perfect chitlens, have eggs and bacon every morning, cook a 5 course meal, from scratch, for dinner, clean our casa top to bottom and organize our spice rack, and have the paper and slippers ready for Bill as he walks in the door from his long 9-5 day, maybe then I could become one of those old fashioned housewives. Or maybe I will be the soccer mom, forget about the 5 course meal cause a cheese sandwich and tomato soup is what the kiddles rather have, slippers and paper (what person under the age of retirement has time for these? J/K grandma!), but still have eggs for breakfast, minus the bacon. But as for now I will just continue to stick my hands in peoples bodies, that sounds a little more up my alley.

Back on subject, I have been volunteering myself lately to bake things for different occasions. I am a pretty good baker, although I can't actually cook anything. But I decided to spice things up a little bit from my ordinary deserts that I usually bake. These cupcakes actually turned out pretty cute, and these red velvet cupcakes the talk of something yummy for the bridal shower and dinner they were made to go with.

Anyway, what made me think of Mona Lisa's smile, besides that my name is kinda in it, is when I was making this honey bun cake. It is just white powdered sugar frosting on top and I was bored with that. So I threw in some food coloring and tada... Doesn't it look like the art piece in the movie? But you know the saying, "a good artist is one that knows when the piece is done, and it's time to stop", well I guess I should have ended it before the big blob in the middle formed! Ha, I guess I better leave the art work to my madre'.

Good thing our friends have a little chitlen, I am sure he doesn't care about the blob. It's all about the taste anyways, right?
This is my most famous work. Waa waa waa (that is supposed to sound like the seagull in the Little Mermaid).
And this is work of someone who knows what they are doing. But maybe someday I.... (yeah right)
