Oldies, but goodies!

When Bill was at Weber for his undergrad he had a class with this guy. They decided to take their wives and all of us go on a double date. And that was the start of a beautiful friendship! We hung out with them about every weekend. We celebrated birthdays, took a fun weekend trip, celebrated holidays together...and then the boys graduated and got jobs out of state. They week we moved to Chicago, they moved to Florida. We all promised we wouldn't lose touch. Thanks to blogging, Cari and I still keep in touch!

We went to Florida to visit them one October thinking we were in the clear and would have to worry about a hurricane. We were mistaken and Rita flew in a couple days after we arrived. That was an interesting trip. I do got to say that I love my husby dearly, but that guy did not stop bugging me the ENTIRE trip. I could have strangled him. Good thing Cari was there to keep me company!
The week we moved back to Utah, they moved to Mass. I informed them it was the wrong state but Brandon had to be selfish and go where the job was :( But FINALLY they came to visit US!! After 6 years! About time you guys!

They have a busy week with family but wanted to do dinner. It was so fun to catch up. It is like we were just hanging out on another weekend like the old days! Sometimes I miss those old days! I miss you guys for sure. Move back quick so we can have our buddies back...

Enjoying the weekend

I Had a 3 day weekend this week because of Pioneer day (UT's celebration of when the pioneers came and settled). Friday I was out of both school and work, so the whole week before I made sure I was caught up on homework and even turned some things in early so I could enjoy the weekend. As luck would have it, I woke up Friday morning with congestion in my chest. Oh well, still got a lot of things done.

I bought this table at a garage sale for $7 and saw some potential. Bill thought it was fine this way, ummm....no. It needed some TLC bad so it doesn't look like we jumped out of the 60's

A coat of primer, 2 coats of spray paint, and some glazing and I have a fun little table for our feet to rest when watching t.v.

Still not sure about the handles. I sprayed them black but will keep my eye out for something a little more fun.


Bill as been asking me to bake cookies, or brownies, or Amish bread for a few weeks now. So, I made 4 loaves of zucchini bread and all these cookies. That should keep him happy until finals...I hope!

7 Year Itch

Well, I hope we don't have a 7 year itch, but we have made it 7 years. Whoot whoot! I love this guy more than ever! He has been a good sport with my schooling too. Love ya Mr. Tula!

Before we went to a yummy Italian place we stopped off at my grandparents and had my grandpa (the tomato growing pro) show me how to get my tomatoes to grow. he said you need to be stern and tell it it better start growing tomatoes or I'm gonna... and then you break off one of it's branches and it starts giving you tomatoes. We will see.

Bill LOVES to bug my grandma! He is so cute with her.

It's independence day!

My awesome possum cousin took me to the Stadium of Fire to ring in another year of independence. Carrie Underwood performed. She is almost as awesome as Kaylynn, but not quite there yet!

We are so excited for Carie. And we are also on a first name basis with her. You see, we were very close to actually getting to hang out with her. Kaylynn's husband in partners with the guy that was Carrie's bodyguard that night. Kaylynn even saw the guy but didn't want to "bother" him. And so it goes, we did not meet Carrie. :( Oh well. We still had fun.

So excited that the boring announcers were done talking and the show was about to go on.
