Good company

Bill's mom is going back to Ghana after 10 month of being here. We took her to get some yummy Mexican food and a Jazz game as a final farwell. El Matador in Ogden. Best warm salsa ever!

DIY Glitter toes!

I want glitter toes but don't want to pay for them!

Go to the craft store (I like JoAnn's) and pick up the fine speckled glitter. They have a ton of colors. I like this little sample pack b/c I get bored easily with the same colors!

Put a paper plate or piece of foil under your feet so you can reuse the excess glitter

Buff your toe nails with a fine grit nail file.

Apply 1 coat of clear nail polish

While polish is fresh and wet sprinkle the color of glitter all over the nail. Do all ten toes and repeat.

When done, put one last coat of clear polish on and wait to dry.

throw on your favorite sandals and hope for warm weather!

I get bored after about a month and switch colors, so I take a hot shower or bath and when I get out I sit there and pick them off with my finger nail.

Sounds tedious, but a lot of the time I can get the whole thing off with just one pick.

You can do nail polish remover but it takes FOREVER.

On a side note...

My mom and I went to Costco and they had these cute pillow pets with a blanket. There was a bunny one {my fav. animal} so my mom offered to buy it for me.

I'm not going to turn down a comfy bunny pillow pet with matching blanket! I don't care how old I am.

Well, guess what happens when I get it out of the washer and dryer and have it all ready to cuddle up with...Bill steals it.

Why don't you marry it?

Remember back in the day when you would tell your little friend how much you loved your bow in your hair, and then she would say well why don't you marry it? I {heart} this song so much I might do just that! This is Train with Marry Me. Actually, I just wished it came out 8 years ago so I could have it for my very own wedding. Lucky to those that get to enjoy it for theirs!

When I was a kid, I had no life back then either, my mom would take me to go rent a movie for the weekend. Remember the VHS tapes! They were so annoying to rewind. (please be kind: rewind, anyone remember those sticker on the tapes?)

Then when we got married we moved up in the world and went to see movies every weekend. (this was back when it was about $7 a person). Then the box office started putting out lame movies and ticket prices went up :( I think the last movie we saw in the theaters was Avatar, before that, I think we lived in IL!

Now we are avid Redbox fans! Seriously what is better than renting a movie for a buck, laying in your own bed, with your own snacks (we never have good snacks laying around our house), and pausing it for bathroom breaks? I love this little machine. Plus, if a movie is less than desirable, or it plan out sucks, you only spent a dollar! Bill falls asleep in every movie anyway so we don't end up wasting $9 (is that the going rate for a movie ticket?).

Sorry this post is lame, but I just reserved 2 new movies and I am so excited to watch them tomorrow night! It's been a long week, and I have a long month in a half coming up!

Still got nothin...

Yep, life is still pretty boring around here.

I don't think I have even made anything for dinner in a while except spaghetti.

I thought I was going to flunk out of nursing school on Friday. I had two really hard mid-terms on the same day. One of them I got the class average, which was just a passing score, and the other I got my highest score yet in med/surg. I was a happy clam.

Bill still does well in school.

He doesn't have to study to maintain good grades.

Luck duck and so un-fair.

One thing that has made my little day is hair tinsel. I couldn't get a really good pic of them, but basically it's like Christmas tinsel that you tie in your hair. It makes me **sparkly**

You can kind of see the sparkles around my neck if you look really hard! But in person they are more noticeable and so much fun!
