A great man

Bill came home from his work with this package yesterday. When I asked him who it from he just said work. I just got done reading the card and I am quite impressed. I am so happy that Bill has this job. He comes home happy all the time and really enjoys what he does and who he works with. It has been such a great opportunity for him.

I haven't put anything about Bill's dad on here cause Bill told me not to, but after seeing that his work gave him this to let him know they are thinking of him I feel like I should put something on here.

Most of you know that Bill's dad had been battling a brain tumor for the past 2+ years. Bill's mom had done an excellent job of taking great care of him and helping him live with comfort during his suffering. At the end of Nov. Thomas passed away. While it is sad and a hard time for the family, with the faith we have grown up with, we know he is in peace and in a better place.
I never met him but from what I have been told he was a great man. He helped make Bill who is today and I am happy with that. He also left behind a great wife (Bill's mom), who I will hopefully meet soon. He will be missed and will continue to be loved.

Merry Christmas Baby!

My first trifle! Gingerbread and pumpkin...I made it cause I am not a big fan of pumpkin and knew I wouldn't eat it!!

Christmas morning. We spent it just the two of us. After we opened our few presents Bill looked at me and asked it that was really short since we didn't have to wait for anyone else. It lasted all of five minutes! But it was still fun and we both got what we wanted.

I got his tree on KSL and was really proud of myself for bargaining the $35 down to $30! I didn't realize that it had assorted lights, I like white. So I am going to take all the red and yellow lights off and replace them with white. That way it will have blue, green, and white lights on to match the ornaments. The glitter ornaments make me happy so I went and bought a lot more the day after for 50% off!

Santa came. He didn't leave any gifts (I think we were a little too naughty or maybe Santa is filling the economy cruntch as well!) but he (or Mrs. Clause) at least filled our stockings with essentials and socks.

I made a 3 layer cake for Bill since he is on this chocolate cake kick. It turned out...alright!

We hope everyone had a nice Christmas. We didn't send out cards this year, or last, and maybe not even next. Maybe when we are no longer students we will get cute pics of us and mail some cute cards out. But until then you just get our blog! Hope you all have a happy New Year!! Be safe.

Oahu, Hawaii

My mom, Bill and I went to Hawaii for Thanksgiving. Everyone told us don't go to Oahu it is just like L.A., but it is what we could afford so we went there. But maybe these people never left Honolulu, cause once you do it is nothing like L.A. and it is just like pictures you see of Hawaii.

This was the first sea turtle we saw. Bill spotted him from like a quarter mile away. We didn't swim with this guy, but we swam with his friends. I will post those pics when I get my underwater pics developed.

The spinner dolphins, wild, not in an aquarium, and we got to swim with them!

This is a big guy and his little guy. They swam right up to me and let me swim with them for a few minutes, just a couple feet away. It was so amazing. I loved every minute of it!

We didn't want to come home! This is a place Bill and I could def. live in. I want to come back and go to Maui. All the locals told us that is the best island. Good to know!
