Last but not least: The Food!!!
Yes I know I have already posted the Spanish hot chocolate, but honestly, it deserves it's own post (although I am not giving it that for time constraints). This stuff is the most amazing stuff my tongue has ever touched! And look closely you can see the spoon is just resting half way in it. The stuff is so thick the spoon sits where you put it and doesn't sink. Mmmm mmmm good. And yes, I did find it boxed and it made it's way all the way to the states with us. It is the only reason I am looking forward to the cold weather.
Paella con pollo, rice with chicken, another Spanish dish and is served EVERYWHERE you look. Yuumy. I will google this and try to make it myself sometime.

This was a dessert on he boat, it sadly looks prettier than it tasted :(

This was Bill's after dinner dinner. And there are 2 count them 2 more lobsters on here, on top of the lobster he ate at dinner. That was one good/bad thing about the cruise, all the food you literally can eat. And some how we both came home negative lbs!
Italiano pastries
Napoli pizza, the best slice of heaven ever!! And I mean ever!! We did contemplate ordering 2 more for the ride. And each person orders this size and eats the whole thing, and the taste buds appreciate every minute of that.
First real Italian gelato, it was a monumental moment
Steak+lobster+second helping of it=a very happy boy with a satisfied belly!
Just a few yummers for sampling.
Italian tiramisu, delish. I miss that, and it was the best I ever had, even beat Braconi's (a restaurant I used to work at where I thought they had the best tiramisu-losers)
The best lasagna we have ever had!!! The ingredients were so simple and yet it was so tasty!!
The daily gelato and a pizza bianca, and yes I tried the pizza bianca as it was recommended by Samantha Brown. She is one smart cookie.
The pizza bianca is the last one on the right, wish I could have tried every one of these :(
More that I wish I could have tried, but just not enough belly space or canceling out of calories.
Bill eating pizza for the first time with a knife and fork, even though he has mad fun of me our whole married life for doing so, but that is how the Italianos do it and I guess when in Rome...

Cannes, France
The Norwegian Gem, our ship. Fun fact: Oprah cruised on it the tour before us! That is the only claim to fame I think I have ever had so I am livin it up!
Fragonard is a perfume factory we toured. We bought a few bottles while there and now we smell good with out even showering. To say the name though you have to make the french hocking a lugie sound in the middle of the word as in: Fr-(hock the lugie)-onar-(hock another one)-d and then it would be phonetically correct!

They take the flower or whatever and put it into these machine to steam the scent out of it and make the sent pure.

then they bottle the scents
here they filter the want from the not want, like a coffee filter.

They take the flower or whatever and put it into these machine to steam the scent out of it and make the sent pure.
Back in the day they would get scent this way. They would take the flowers and lay them on animal lard as shown, once the lard soaked up the sent they would put another layer of flowers on, they would do this over and over until they decided that instead of using one ton of flowers to make one once of scent, they would do it the way now, which is with the steam.
These barrels are full of perfume. I tried to steal one but didn't get very far with it. Much harder than just taking a bottle! JK I don't steal sillies.

This is the lab where the noses live. Being a nose is a real job that you have to go to school for 10 years and then internship for a few years until you are a professional nose. 80% are men because a women's sense of smell changes through pregnancy and all the other fun stuff that women have to deal with. But once they are pro noses, they only work a few hours a day and are millionaires. Must be nice.
St. Paul De Vence is a little town where the celebs go to play when they are here for the Cannes Film Festival. It is a little boutiquey area.

My heart is stuck in Florenza, Italia
I absolutely fell in love with Florence. I loved all of Italy that we saw, but this was definitely my favorite! we did most of our shopping here and of course ate some more pizza and loved every minute of it.
