Happy Christmas to All

lets read a beautiful Christmas story together

Ehhh humm

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house

not a creature was stirring, nope, not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nick soon would be there (someone did 12 days of Christmas for us.)

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads. When out on the love sac there rose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and someone Bill loves so dear. With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

So up to the presents, the bunny she flew, with a crap load of toys, and other stuff too. (Look at the presents closely to see the bunny)
His eyes how they twinkled! his dimples how merry. His cheeks were like roses, his nose isn't hairy (thank you nose trimmer)His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and his beard of his chin was black as coal.

He was dressed in all fur, from his head to his foot His clothes were all tarnishe with snow and sootHe spoke not a word
but went strait to his work
and made lots of dinner

then laughed with a smirk.

Then he sprung to his sofa, to give his team a whistle
Happy Christmas to all
and to all goodnight.

Thank you Lord & those who prayed for us

Not many of you know the story of our house. We bought it in Utah in the summer of 2004. 6 months later Bill graduated college and found a job that moved us to IL. We couldn't afford to sell it so we found a property management co. and they found us some renters that planned on living in it till Feb. 2008. Prayers answered.
Well after a year with the property management co. we found out that all they were doing was accepting the rent and keeping their share, but not checking up on the property or anything, so we got rid of them, and I became a landlord. Yes me, the pushover, now had to become a landlord 4 states away from the house.
Then a year later, my tenants got a divorce and the man was up in the air about renewing. Prayed, prayed, prayed, is what I did, and one day he called up and said he would renew. Yes thank you! So that would lead us to 2007. And did we ever have problems this year. Every month he would call and say something was wrong. My mom then became my property manager (pro bono thank you) and went to the house to check on things. But our key no longer fit in the key hole because they had been changed! Surprise to me. And that was just a minor surprise for what else would happen. I will not go into what had happened, you wouldn't take the time to read it.
The first weekend in November, the tenant sent me a cowardly email telling me he was out of the house and not paying rent. Now stress and tears have repeatedly since that horrible day. Since I am in school Bill has been dealing with most of the realtor stuff, as I have been dealing with the maintenance stuff. What a pain for both of us since we are still 4 states away. It took over a month to get it on the market. Monday, Dec. 10 it was up for sale, and Friday Dec 15, after counter offerings went through, we accepted a deal. Woo woo! Prayers can be answered, and thank you so much to all those that prayed for us. I don't know if we could have done it with out them. We love you and saying thank you does not express hoe grateful we truly are.

Thanksgiving

It has taken me a while to get these posted, but I finally did. We couldn't go home, yet again for Thanksgiving, but this time neither could some of our friends. Nick and Zandra hosted Bill, me, Clint, and Jenelle at their very cute place.

Here is Zandra's table. The picture does not do it justice. It looked liked something right out of a pottery barn catalog. It was so pretty.
Here is Nick and Zandra. They were perfect hosts. We had a lot of fun.

Bill's cousin Henry and Clint and Jenelle.

Bill and I singing a duet
We sang karaoke. Bill at first was kind of shy about it, but after we egged him on a bit, he got really into it. I never thought he had it in him.
Bill holding a tune for his audience.
We were all talking in the family room a couple hours after dinner and all of a sudden the boys get up and leave. The girls all looked at ourselves and went to go check what was going on. Guess what? The boys were at it again. Eating more food.
Lots O food makes for happy boys!
